We’re number 1
Americans love to be number 1, that’s why we don’t play soccer against the rest of the world, we make up our own sports like baseball, basketball, and football. That way when Chicago beats New York, we can declare ourselves world champions once again.
It’s been a long and grueling two weeks, but we finally did it. Nothing For UnGood is the number 1 search result on Google for the term “hate root beer”.
Each post is carefully hand crafted only after drinking 24-36 ounces of black coffee. It is through this relentless hard work that we can finally declare “Mission Accomplished.”
Thank you to all who have made this possible: our parents for raising us to be such well adjusted citizens, our high school German teacher who made learning German fun by not making us learn genders, and of course our readers whose comments are much better than the rest of this site.

who may or may not have hated root beer.

Alexandra,
I am so sorry to disagree, but it is a proven fact that Americans work
longer and harder than their German counterparts.
You might want to check this out and research on the internet.
I beg to differ with your opinion that only Americans do things wrong.
I am German, working and living in the United States.
I don’t think YOU, dear Alexandra, would ever make it here having this kind of STUPID attitude. Learn how ot spell, and learn how to use proper grammar….!!

What’s an ounce? I think it’s the sound my cat makes…

About 30 grams… which in this case is NOT the plural for grandmother.
Now that I did some research… the British often write it gramme and grammes. The French influence again, as it seems.

Collins English Dictionary Complete and Unabridged:
Gramm: Noun: a metric unit of mass equalto one thousandth of a kilogram. It is equivalent to 15.432 grains or 0.002205 pounds. Symbol g.
HISTORY: 18th Century: from Grench GRAMME, from Late Latin GRAMMA, from Greek: small weight, from GRAPHEIN to write.
So it all boils down to ancient trade…….

To Alexandra and Maggie:
I am born and raised German, live and work in the USA. You are right, both (kinda). If you compare statistics, Americans work longer?harder. If you compare efforts, germans do. The other day I pushed a wheelchair about 300 yards (without using a golf-cart). Arrived at my destination everybody offered me a seat as they assumed I would be exhausted !?!?!? What happened to all those hard-workim\ng pioneers and their wives??????

You are the number 1 again!

German´s do work faster and more efficient, that´s why we don´t need more than 35 Hour´s a Week for it.
But the American Worker´s can´t do it better, because the American Industrial is so slow in getting new Machines to let the Worker be more efficient.
In Germany an typical Machine for Production will may cost 2.000.000$.
10 Years later the Machine will be sell to get a newer one, witch do the same Production in half the Time.
Often it will be only 5 years.
American Industries will Build a Factory, and Produce so long as the Product will find someone who buy it.
Than, after 20 Jears, they will build a new Factory at a Place Hundreds of Miles far away from the Old Factory.
So the Efficient is not a thing about the American Workers, but the American Industries, who put more Time in Buying other Trusts, than making Work Efficient.
(by The Way, the German GEN is found as Efficient-GEN we hate nothing more, than to be ineffifient)

Ähhhh Prinz, was meinst Du denn da? Das ist alles kompliziert was Du da schreibst!!!??? Meinst Du bei GEN, das engl. Wort Gene?
“Preussischen Tugenden”.
